I like this funny card that
friends sent us to celebrate our
54th Wedding anniversary
yesterday......
We went out for lunch and I had lazy man's lobster and Thom had
scallops--just a wonderful meal--quite a treat.....
***********************************************
I like that Aurowla is almost finished...
She is really beautiful, I think!! It's been slow going on her as my shoulder
has been pretty sore...but bit by "fun bit" she is getting done..;)))
*****************************************************
I like that my selection of Presencia threads came in --now I
can contemplate some more how to quilt my Snowballs piece......
****************************************
I like this old photo of my Uncle Julian
and his best doggy Briney...;))
(I was named after him (he was my my mother's brother)
and my Great Grand-mere, Julie--
and also my Grand-mere, Rose)
And so Julierose.....
***************************************
For an Anniversary present, Thom set up Pandora in my sewing room
for me...where I can listen to my favorite Big Band music....
Sweet, huh???💖💕💕
I am joining in with Lee Anna this week and many others celebrating
our everyday lives, and the "little things" that make our
lives so pleasurable...Thanks Lee Anna..;)))
Hugs, Julierose, La blageuse (celebrating-euse)

Happy Anniversary to you and Thom! It sounds like you had a great celebratory lunch. Aurowla is beautiful! My kids love Pandora. I don't have it but I do listen to music when I quilt. I love that thread!

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary!! A great anniversary present from Thom, it's nice to be able to listen to a little music whilst we sew, especially when machine quilting.

ReplyDeleteI've read about those threads; I'd be interested in how you find them. Aurowla is gorgeous, btw. But mind that shoulder!
What is Pandora?
Happy 54th anniversary. I thought I had been married forever at 45 years.
ReplyDeleteNice to have your music around you too.
Isn't nice to know where your name came from and that you were named for a beloved?

Hi Julierose! I love hearing about how your name came about. And Happy Anniversary to you and Thom. What a nice present. I love Big Band music myself and would have loved to be around for Tommy Dorsey or Glenn Miller. At least their music has stood the test of time so we can still enjoy it. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeletehappy anniversary sweetie, may you have many more
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Best wishes for so many more. This is a thoughtful collection of "likes".

Love that card. But, Count Basie? Great choice. I grew up on Glenn Miller records my parents played as well as Count Basie, Louis Armstrong, Errol Garner etc. What a thoughtful gift from your hubby. I listen to Jazz on my Pandora when sewing. or painting. But, in the car, I listen to pop music. Your needlework is stunning. Hope you are feeling okay.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Enjoy your time out.
