Seaside Spring has turned into a large project....
Here's a closer look at
↚↚↚
the Centers..
Jelly fish floating (2 of these)
and.........

A Blue Bird flying in with H O P E
This could turn out to be the center panel of a lap quilt..
a long, and narrow medallion setting..
I machine appliqued those centers to the blades,
trimmed the back extra fabrics off close to the stitching ....
and then....................
I appliqued the rings themselves to my chosen
impressionistic roses fabric...
very water-ey looking, I am thinking...
This was my sewing for yesterday and today....

Thom is ourside changing the oil on his John Deere Lawn Mower...
on this warmish day...58 degrees already ....
perhaps our weather is taking a turn for the better...
And I am thawing out leftover lasagna for our dinner this evening...

Stay safe and strong,
this, too, shall pass....

Oh I love those centers! They are just the right touch.
ReplyDeleteI'm comparing your 58° to our 77°, and it's supposed to get into the 80s here today. We already have the AC on. Ugh!
I really like the big circles and centers! That jellyfish fabric is great! I could see this as a long centered medallion ... or maybe a triptych?! take care!
ReplyDeleteDid you REALLY have to say the L-word?!? Sigh... Now, I want lasagna, too!!! Waaaa... We don't have any at home and DH already did this week's grocery run early this morning. :o((
ReplyDeleteLove this!!! Such a soothing project in such a time of turmoil. You are making this challenge very satisfying to view as well as being productive. I love the centers.
ReplyDeleteIt's up to 77 degrees here in northern IL a tad humid. About another week or more before we will have to mow the grass.
ReplyDeleteHappy almost Easter! Hope springs eternal, it's a gift.
