The past few days, I have been on edge and unable to sew that
much; so, I am trying to re-organize a bit,
here and there; cooking, cleaning etc., just staying busy.....
and trying to find fabric for the centers of my
"Seaside Spring" rings...

the Ocean...and the
blue-blue-chilly waters..
The winds are still brisk here and so despite the lovely sunshine,
it is a bit too cool to sit outside just yet...

Our first Instacart delivery of groceries is slated for anywhere from
4-6 p.m. tonight...
So,
we had our big meal at noon--[leftover roast beef dinner from last
night...still really good...]
knowing we would have to de-virus the
delivery when it arrives..

Still awaiting our first daffodils, but the buds are swelling ... Our iris are up, one peony is popping out of the ground, and the rhubarb is leafed out already. If there's anything that'll ward off virus, it has to be rhubarb - spring tonic! Leftover beef roast sounds mighty good, we're having leftover chicken. Grocery store tomorrow morning, as early as I can manage. We're out of fresh veggies and bananas.

ReplyDeleteI have daffodils. I think I spied tulip leaves. I don't blame you for being anxious. This is going way longer than we were originally expecting.

It’s so lovely to see your spring flowers, Julierose. We do have a dump of tulips that have opened (they have a southern exposure), but everything else is still hiding out. It’s very cool and windy here today too. As soon as I filled the bird feeders, the birds flocked in and filled up. I wonder if they know a Storm is coming? The Washington Post had an article today about the trouble many of us are having focusing during these times. Just go with the flow and be kind to yourself. I’m sitting here at nearly 7 in the evening, waiting for a call from Bruce’s or his doctor. He’s supposed to be released from the hospital today. This is crazy!!!

Your spring flowers are so wonderful. Aren't daffodils the *best* flower? So happy and frilly like a child's Easter dress. And the shocking pink rhododendrons are delightful. I do hope the deer eat something else.

I love your daffodils, reminds me of my childhood. I hope you are able to find some peace of mind in your organization and busy-work. I know it helps me to do a little cleaning up in my sewing room, and I find myself organizing little areas all around the house, so there must be something to that!
