This is the last of the three...
I am flitting on over to Angela's at Super Scrappy a little bit late this week......
I have not even considered "dark green" as the new May color as yet....
I think I used up all my green scraps in january as my "Franken Quilt" was a combo
of both dark and light....we shall see....

working again....
I did wind some bobbins and did a little clean-up of my room,,,,
but mainly feeling the "blues" a bit today...
It doesn't seem possible that we have been isolating since March 10th--but we have...

Happily, the sun came out after a rainy morning...and we were able to sit on our
front patio--[Thom put up our umbrella] and we sat in the shade for about
an hour...just relaxing and chatting until the ocean breezes started up
and cooled it all off...

Sunday supper will be leftover homemade bean soup and the end of
my homemade bread loaf...(slathered with butter--oh yum!!)

I used most of my greens as well mixing lights, brights, and darker ones. I'll find enough to make the two dumpster diving blocks (maybe) but likely no placemats this month.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you are not feeling too blue with all this lockdown business. It must have been lovely to sit outside under your sun umbrella, taking in the view from your front patio. Does that mean you also have a patio at the back? Keep safe, keep well, and keep on stitching!
ReplyDeleteI love the blues of Seaside Spring. So calming to me! The May blocks are so pretty. Did you go outside today? I took a nice long walk but made sure I didn't get too close to anyone. The warm weather perked up my spirits!

ReplyDeleteNice blues. We had beautiful weather today here. I worked though, then took a nap, so I missed most of it. I did open windows though.
ReplyDeleteBlue can be so moody when it's dark. But when it flips to the pastel side, it gets light and airy.

ReplyDeleteYour dresdan project is coming right along. Day 3 in merry month of May is too. We too had nice weather. Our son got us a microwave so we spent it inside for the most part. We really need to get our patio area ready for grilling days ahead.

The dresden looks great and I'm loving your Merry Month of May blocks. We had a beautiful Sunday. I sat on our outside patio for FOUR hours cross stitching. It was wonderful. Had to take advantage as most days its just too hot.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blues. Yes, inside so long! I think I have more patience for this sort of incarceration, having been ill a number of times--w the hip pain I was never out of the house for 4---5? months, and once I was hospitalized from October to Xmas, much of it in ICU. It's so odd when we get out, like it is scary in the real world.
