I did enjoy working on this
small canvas....
And now I am moving
onto a much larger
AND
a vintage Christmas illustration one....
↧↧↧↧
It uses 39 different diamond
colors which I sorted
and numbered and put
into my little square bead boxes
this afternoon.
I am excited to be working on this one...
the diamonds are Square---
So, this feels a bit different from
the round ones I was using
on Fairy Lights.
But the process is the same...
only I find that I have to place them
MUCH more slowly to get them
straight in their little boxes!!👀
************************
And since it is still November for at
least a few more days,
I include a picture of
my Starry-Eyed Jack
in place in my living room...
Grand-mere's old bureau...
Held with my little tiffany lamp and
the little picture of my
Godfather, Uncle Julian,
(my Mom's brother)
with his beloved dog, Briney...
*************************
We awakened this morning to 20 degree weather
and breezy conditions...
VERY
C O L D !
I hope you are staying warm and safe...

Jack is perfectly wonderful -- good luck with your newest project.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see Jack in place, too.
Jack is a lovely finish! Your new diamond canvas looks complicated but I'm sure you'll do fine! It's been so cold but I heard it's warming up tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteYour Fairy Lights Tree is so very Christmassy, not too long now. Your next vintage piece looks very complex indeed, brave and I can understand the careful numbering and sorting. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThe Fairy Light Tree is so specicial, so magical, I love it. New project is intersting too, so different.
ReplyDeleteJack is darling and your little Tiffany Dragonfly lamp is a treasure. What a sweet NOvemebr vignette you've made.
too cold! too windy! Tho I do love climbing into my winterized bed, all flannel sheets with crisply ironed white ruffley pillow cases, a big white down comforter and many many cuddly throws.
Your Diamond Tile pieces fascinate me! Do you frame them to hang on the wall? Jack looks wonderful, and I think you found the perfect place for him.
ReplyDeleteYour Fairy Lights is so pretty. And I can't wait to see the evolution of the new one - such a great illustration! And Jack is enjoying pride of place there.
ReplyDeleteJack came out great. Love that old time christmas one.will be fun to see your progress
ReplyDeleteGlad that Jack is keeping you company! Your new Christmas project will be fun. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteLove that autumn corner with the starry eyed fellow!
ReplyDeleteI love the old vintage look illustrations. They make me feel quite nostalgic and I'm drawn to them for inspiration. You will enjoy all the lovely beading to come.
I just love the way the flying geese units add so much movement and interest. It's because you put the light fabric in the middle instead of the wings. It just adds sparkle to the whole thing. You're going to have fun with the Santa piece, so festive.
ReplyDeletedid you ever get good at putting a row of diamonds on at one time?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the beautiful finish. What a great next project you have. Stay warm.
ReplyDeletejack is jolly and fun. have fun the new projects!
