for a long term hand quilting project...
I am beginning on the long coin strip center...

I decided to add just two more borders
with cornerstones of the leaf fabric...

"Christmas Ojos"
(Phew--lots of stitches here)
I love how textured it came out...

You have several beautiful projects going on there, Julierose! I'll enjoy seeing how you quilt Sunrise, Sunset. Those final borders look perfect for the Falling Leaves design, too. Christmas Ojos is just gorgeous with all the texture from your quilting. Enjoy that family get together, too!

It's so nice to have family visits, isn't it. I'm meeting up with my daughter today for coffee as she is passing through to meet up with her father and his wife for lunch. She and I will be having a lunch date next week to celebrate her birthday.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking about you yesterday when I was going through my scraps-contemplating on whether to make another meditation spool ( I made one last year after seeing yours and loved it) Maybe this is my sign I do need to make another. Getting together with family is always great. I hope you all have a great time.
We were together this weekend... we had plum cake... and also beefsteak, mashed potatoes, beans, and sauerkraut... a huge success.
