it really suits my stitching...

Here is our back deck after the freezing sleet
compacted the snow down....
It was almost up to the
bannister level...
Tom shoveled a little pathway just in
case we have to get out that way...
as the front door is drifted shut
as is our garage door...
We are awaiting our exhausted snow plow guy
to come and shovel the front walk for us...
So today we are staying put here...
We know the roads are passable,
but why rush out there?
Tomorrow I am planning on
doing the weekly food shopping...
Tonight:
Tom will have leftover
Beef Stew
and
I will have leftover
chicken soup...
I hope you are staying safe and warm
in this bitter cold...

ReplyDeleteThe scroll panel is beautiful! My doors were drifted shut too, front exit finally was cleared but deck still is blocked. I get uncomfortable if the exits are blocked.
ReplyDeletePls be careful at the store, parking lots can have unexpected ice. Do you wear a mask now?

That is a lot of snow! I'm glad you have someone to help you with it - it gets so heavy. Your scroll panel is lovely - the creamy colors say cozy and warm to me!
ReplyDeleteI love your stitching on this piece. So pretty! I finally went out today. It's hard to see when backing up with all the piles of snow. It's terribly cold. I'm in for the day!! That was enough for me!

ReplyDeleteDH made it out today in the car - not far but enough to prove that it could be done. Drift behind the house is not going anywhere. Schools will be closed the rest of the week here (all of them). Roads are barely passable in the daytime and black ice at night when the temperature goes back down. And despite the slightly above freezing temps for 2-3 days, we're back below freezing all next week.

ReplyDeleteWe have been so fortunate to escape (touch wood!) the massive snowstorms that have gone all around us. We've had some snow, but not nearly what they got south of us. It's -21C (not counting the windchill factor) here right now and we're facing going out in a few minutes to collect our groceries.
