STRINGING ALONG, et al

Fiona likes purple
(sorry for the darkish photo the
purples are much brighter
in reality)

AND

Willa likes blue

I don't know what these will grow into as yet
[placemats, dolly quilts, lap quilts]

I have raided my leftover blue and
purple scraps and strings to make
these....

They are a work in progress...

I do love to make these string blocks

Over the weekend
not much sewing was done;
I took a little break....
And on

Sunday we watched the Formula One
French Grand Prix

Mark Verstappen won for
the Red Bull Team

and a close 2nd was
↧↧↧↧
Hamilton...
{imagine, they even have
someone to do up their hair}

We had a french toast breakfast
in honor of the race.
So yummy!!!

Tom and I so enjoy watching these
races
on Sunday mornings..

Next week the race will
be in Austria...

(and what will be
on the menu
for Austria???
Hmmmm....👵
stay tuned)

I am still working on my
Diamond Painting...

she is almost done....

I began this when we shut
down for
the Corona Virus...
A good way to relieve stress
I've found...

Hot and very muggy here today...

I hope you are having a
good week;
stay cool....

  1. I've been thinking I need to do something with some string blocks. I've got to embrace my scraps and I thought string blocks might be the answer. Love the diamond painting.

  2. Muesli for breakfast next week? How fun to pick meals to go with the races. The strings are looking great.

  3. It would be so hard for me to pick a favourite between purple and blue (but probably blue would win by the slimmest of margins). Never watched a car race in my life - probably I'm missing something.

  4. String blocks has been on my bucket list for I don't know how long. I really like them and yours are beautiful in blues and purple. I had to watch a YouTube tutorial to figure out what Diamond Painting is about, totally new to me. Looks like fun. Yours is very pretty.

  7. Strings look great. I have a string project buried somewhere because I lost track of the square size and will have to o more work on it. I'm not a fan of auto racing but it sounds like you've got a great setup for it!

  9. I love that diamond painting. It looks very detailed. I still have to give string quilting a try. I've got plenty of stash to use!
