                                        REMEMBER ME?
My first 6 Crazy Quilt blocks.
sewn together into a wall hanging...

Well, I've undearthed the next 5 blocks that I had prepped....

Here they are ready to be embellished...

I have chosen this "belle dame" to work on first:
I am trying to learn the "cretan stitch" on these blocks..

Here is my first "stab" (hahhaa) at it....with a few little
                                   french knots added ....
                                                 A N D
I will also be adding bits and bobs of lace and buttons...as I go....

This block will be my tv time sewing ....

Using my new sewing pillow that I made a few
weeks ago to rest my work on.....
Along with that constant cuppa tea...at my side....
My Autumn Snowballs quilt is tabled for today (on the dining table actually)--
as I awoke this morning with a digestive disturbance
and am not up to par...;000
So I don't figure it's a good idea to be hauling it
through Helga feeling like this....
I guess this bug is still hanging on--so another resting day....

I hope you are all having a great weekend...hugs, Julierose La blageuse
("still crazee after all these years" -euse)

  1. Your stitching looks great. It doesn't look like you're learning the stitch. It looks like you have already mastered it. I've never done a craxy quilt, I think it would be soothing and fun. Hope you start feeling better soon.

  2. I can see many happy stitching hours in your future!

  3. One of these is on my bucket list too. So pretty and nice stitching there girl

  4. The first one you showed is fantastic so I know the second one will be. Hope you feel better.

  5. Enjoy your slow stitching. Hope you feel better.

  6. Lovely work.
I learnt a lot about crazy course with this FREE online course ... http://www.shawkl.com/p/crazy-quilt-courses.html

  7. I like Crazy Quilt, but not so much the really frau frau pieces. Once I got templates, those stitches came much easier. Your work is lovely.

  8. Love the crazy blocks, yep get those out and get busy. Hope you are feeling better soon.

  9. Yummy colors you used in the crazy quilt! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  10. Your crazy blocks are exceptional, esp after they re embellished! I love the sewing pillow---actually the only time I ever made crazy blocks I made them into sewing pillows, gifts for friends.
