SCRAPPY SNOWBALL FLIMSEY, et al

It's a FLIMSEY;)))
YAY!!!
This will fit my square cocktail table in front
of our fireplace.
💘
[dark out today--the green borders
are much brighter in person]

There are two little snowy owls
 and some crows lurking
in there..;)))
Can you find them????

I loved making this...
what fun...;))

I pinned all the intersections
[PHEW]
but really,
that made" most" matchings
a lot easier and better in
the end result.
💚💚💚
 I may make another one
with print snowball centers...
I was inspired by

*************************
Here is another flimsy:
"109 little squares" #2;
it just needs borders.
↧↧↧↧
This is exactly like the one I made for
the small wall over our tv...
except this time I used red cornerstones...
for a bit of a brighter look...

I have 4 more sets of four
of these all sewn
and  ready to
put together some way...

Here is a variation
that appeared magically;))
on these little  25-patch blocks:

With a little white cross in the center...
Isn't this just darling???

It was just "serendipity;
as I was setting up the rows --
and running out of cut 1.5"-ers--
this fell into place...;)))
I will be making more in this style...

I really like working with these
scrappy squares...
all cut from leftovers...

AND
I only have 4 more small blocks left to quilt
on my Christmas Ojos and the borders...
S L O W but S T E A D Y
wins my race these days...

hugs on a windy, gray Sunday,

  1. It looks like your creative thinking is in good shape, Julierose! All those little quilt tops you've finished look great! I especially like the one with the + in it. I pin intersections, too. Otherwise, I end up with tops that are wildly askew. It takes time but I think it's worth it in the end.

  2. Really adorable! I love how you're always trying something new.

Did you audition the white cross 25 Square for BB1 borders? Might be great!

  3. Oh you have been so busy!! Scrappy Snowball is a winner, I like how you haven't separated the middle two blocks with squares, adds a lot of interest to the design.

  4. Your snowballs look great! I have to say though that I really like your "109 Little Squares" - there's something about it that really appeals.

  5. I like your variation block with the white cross in the center. You can have some fun looking for other fabrics to fussy cut for centers of more blocks.
