I am using up my 2" squares
along with
5" squares for
"Snowballing"
[Note: it feels cold enough
to make snowballs here!!]
I found this pattern at
Susies blog...
she has a lot of really neat
patterns and easy ways to
make them...;)))
I am loving how this
is coming out...
Just a really fun project...
I may make more and
turn them into
a long table topper...

And, I put together another
one of these
just for more
fun sewing...
πππ
This one uses 1.5" squares
and
strips...
I just need to add R&L
sashings...
This is the extent of my sewing
since my last posting...
I've been darting in and out of my room
and just sewing for short intervals
at one time...

Here is a picture of Tom's new
Weather Station...
He is still in the process of
setting everything up...
earnest as you can observe
in that little rain drop in
the center...
and only 44 degrees outside..
another chilly day here...π’

Easy Peasy dinner tonight:
Egg salad sandwiches
and Tater Tots...
No muss no fuss....ππ
I hope your week has gone well
and that you managed to get some
fun sewing time in...
Hugs, Julierose

I am re-reading "Devices and Desires" by P.D. James...
ReplyDeleteI am really looking for a good book to read; I've ordered quite a few and was
very disappointed--our little book donation centers are being FILLED UP
by "moi" !! S I G H....
As a retired public librarian, I would be remiss if I didn't put ina plug for your local public library. Lots of books to choose from and if you don't like one, just return it and get something else. Saves you money (that you can spend on fabric).

I love how you're using up your scraps. Love those snowballs! It was definitely too cold today. I was glad for the furnace still heating my house.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed that you're working with itty bitty squares...not something I'd ever want to tackle.
ReplyDeleteThat weather station looks complicated!
Mmmm egg salad sounds delicious. Those are some darling snowball blocks that you are working on. Have a wonderful day, Julierose
ReplyDeleteIt looks like fun and relaxing sewing.
ReplyDeleteI like those weather stations but don't know if i could set it up myself so I don't buy one.
Scrappy Snowballs are really nice and I do hope you're able to make enough to have a table topper. The more the merrier with these blocks. You're brave using 1.5" squares in your last photo!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see you are darting in and out of the sewing room. You have a couple of nice sewing projects started. Santa brought my hubby a weather station for Christmas. It has been interesting to watch. We had frost again overnight. Ugh! I'm ready for warmer temps and for them to stay!
