upper black x's part of my next butterfly in a mirror image-- Right and Left...
Just sayin'..........That is a bit more challenging than it looks...
And, you hawk-eyed followers may see that that I have colored in part of its
body using my Prismacolor Premier pencil in Pomegranate..
⇊⇊⇊⇊⇊
These are a few of the complete set I own
from my coloring book days...
I first underlay with white;
and then add a very light coat of the Pomegranate--
I am trying to see if it makes
this butterfly part
stand out a bit more...
We'll see what this looks with the
deep maroon stitching over it...
But first I need to finish the black outlining...
Today, though, with our breezes
and the showery weather
it actually feels chilly
on the deck
so I will be stitching inside...

That is a beautiful butterfly, Julierose! I really like how you added some color to it with the colored pencils. I never knew you could use colored pencils on fabric until recently!
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful butterfly. I am loving embroidery right now too and the added coloring really makes for some neat projects.
ReplyDeleteLove your butterflies. So fun.it was cool here and rainy a bit. Even Dunks wanted a blanket to snuggle under lol
ReplyDeleteCollections of colouring pencils are as beautiful as
ReplyDeletelooking at our fabrics I think!
Have fun. We're hoping for rain and cooler temperatures, too.
ReplyDeleteAre the pencils permanent? So pretty!
ReplyDeleteCorned beef, potatoes, and cabbage sound perfect for the grey rainy Sunday we had, yum. A tiny fore shadowing of Fall, plus you'll have amazing sandwiches all week, unless you ate. it. all? :-)

Your butterfly is looking gorgeous. Adding a bit of extra colour is a nice idea.
ReplyDeleteOh the butterfly is gorgeous! Those stitches are amazing and adding the coloring is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteI think adding the coloured pencil will look great beneath the stitching. Cool here today too but at least the sun was shining.
